Students from Kingsmead's Year 10 Art & Design BTEC group worked with professional animator Karen Sayle from BigRedStudio and Miss Turner (and the Art Department at Kingsmead) to produce animations for the Stoke Your Fires Animation Competition at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery.
Students produced test pieces of animation and work relating to the theme of 'Summer to Winter' using various materials, techniques and processes.
Stoke Your Fires festival aims to be the creative heart of the West Midlands region for film and digital media in the eyes of artists, designers, producers and other industry professionals, critics, and the public.
The festival started in 2008, and has rapidly built an internationally recognised programme in animation and hopes to continue this across all genres of the moving image.
