Kingsmead celebrates excellent GCSE ResultsPosted 16 September, 2011 Kingsmead Technology College has seen its overall pass rate rise for the fifth consecutive year to 94% 5A*-C with 51% including English and maths. This excellent pass rate reflects the improvements in teaching and learning and the breadth of the curriculum on offer. These results are a credit to the hard-working students and staff at the College. Most pleasing was the increase in A* / A grades with a record 10% of students achieving 8 GCSE grades or more at this level. Notable successes include:
Elsewhere, Lauren Thomas achieved an A* in GCSE Spanish in Year 9 and Luther Williamson gained an A* in GCSE Maths in Year 8. |
