Homework

Homework for GCSE students is vital to success. It is important that no student allows his/her work to fall behind: homework must be completed on time as there are few opportunities to catch up missing work. Research shows that the most successful students are the ones who spend the most time on homework. Students need a quiet place where they will not be disturbed. At this stage, it is difficult to give a precise time to spend on homework each night - at least two hours! This will vary according to the amount of coursework to be completed. There is never a time when a student has no homework: there is always revision, checking or reading through that can be done. Very often, coursework will be set for a number of homeworks: it is usually an extended task which will require work over a number of days or even weeks to get it completed. There will be homework to do until the very last day of the examinations!
